The Role

• The Property Damage Team advises some of the UK's largest insurers and their underwriters on all classes of property damage claims. This includes multi-million-pound claims for fire, infrastructure damage, flood damage, building defect claims, Party Wall Act disputes as well as subsidence.
• This role involves claims under a full suite of property policies to include commercial combined covers, property owners risks and Construction All Risks cover. The policy coverage claims involve advice on non-disclosure and fair presentation of risk, breach of conditions and also fraud.
• This role will involve dealing with property damage liability claims, subrogated recoveries and policy coverage disputes.
• Experience in handling complex disputes arising out of fires, escapes of water and oil, subsidence and construction & engineering related incidents is also a requirement.

Requirements

• You will be an Insurance Disputes lawyer with 2 years PQE, looking to join a high-performing Property Damage team.
• You will have excellent legal ability and initiative, strong technical skills as well as confidence in managing and prioritising a full and varied caseload.
• The ideal candidate will have experience working within a top practice.
