Regulatory Compliance & Investigations Senior Associate | 4+ PQE | Top 30 International Firm
A strong platform for an ambitious solicitor with commercial economic crime and regulatory experience to join a well-established team, working across a range of varied and interesting work, providing an excellent opportunity for a mix of contentious and non-contentious work.
The Firm
This is a Top 30 international firm whose reputation has been earned through the quality of its work and the strength of its people, not simply its scale. Highly ranked by both Legal 500 and Chambers across a number of practice areas, the firm combines genuine sector depth with a culture that places real value on collaboration and long term development.
The environment here is notably different from firms of comparable standing. Teams are structured to support one another, lawyers are given meaningful responsibility early and the firm's investment in its people is reflected in strong internal retention and progression. Modern working practices and legal technology sit alongside traditional strengths, giving lawyers the tools to deliver complex work efficiently and sustainably.
The Team
The Regulatory Compliance & Investigations team is highly regarded both nationally and internationally, sitting within a broader Corporate Crime practice comprising specialists in enforcement, internal investigations, compliance and crisis response.
Based primarily in London, the team supports a global client base across the firm's key sectors, including financial services, insurance, retail, transport, energy, and the public sector, among others. The work is varied, high-profile and often cross-border in nature.
Led by a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked partner with over 25 years' experience at the firm, the team is well-established and has been built around a group of specialist lawyers who regularly advise on complex and sensitive matters. Despite the technical nature of the work, the culture remains highly collegiate, with a strong emphasis on support, collaboration and shared success across all levels.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance & Investigations solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to join a growing, global team, with excellent mentoring and support as you continue to develop your career within an award-winning practice.
The role offers exposure across the full spectrum of regulatory risk. You will combine proactive advisory work with complex contentious matters, advising clients on the design and implementation of regulatory compliance frameworks and helping them navigate evolving obligations across financial services and other regulated sectors. A key part of the role will also involve financial services regulation, including FCA and PRA requirements, conduct risk, governance issues, and wider transformation and remediation projects.
You will also be involved in the investigative and enforcement side of the practice, supporting clients through internal and regulatory investigations, enforcement proceedings and corporate crime matters, often with cross-border dimensions. In addition, you will play a central role in crisis and incident response work, advising clients in real time on regulatory notifications, dawn raids, and other urgent, high-stakes situations where clear, commercial and pragmatic judgement is essential.
Alongside your core advisory and contentious responsibilities, you will be expected to play an active role in client relationship management and business development, helping to enhance the team's profile and drive growth. You will also take responsibility for supervising and developing junior lawyers, contributing to a supportive and high-performing team environment.
This is a genuinely collaborative team that places strong emphasis on culture and is widely regarded as a positive and rewarding place to build a long-term career.
