This Top 30 international law firm is offering a rare opportunity for a senior Real Estate Litigation lawyer to step into a Legal Director position in Birmingham with a clearly defined route to Partnership.

With significant national workflow already in place and strong support from an established national team, this role is designed for a senior lawyer looking to build and lead a regional offering without the pressure of bringing a client following on day one.

You will have the platform to grow a team, develop your own practice and work closely with leading partners across the firm's national Real Estate Disputes group.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading Real Estate Litigation practice within a Top 30 international law firm, based in Birmingham and offering a clear pathway to Partnership.

The wider Real Estate Disputes team is nationally recognised, with multiple Legal 500 rankings and a highly respected head of department. With more than 20 specialist lawyers across the UK, the team already has a strong national platform and consistent workflow.

The firm is now looking to appoint a senior Real Estate Litigation Legal Director to spearhead the continued growth of the Birmingham offering. There is already significant work flowing into the region, meaning a portable client following is not essential. Instead, the focus is on appointing an ambitious senior lawyer with the vision and leadership ability to develop a team and expand the practice locally.

You will work with an impressive client base that includes international retailers, major sports brands, hospitality groups and other large commercial occupiers and landlords. The work is predominantly commercial property litigation, with a smaller element of high value residential disputes.

The team regularly advises on complex and high profile real estate disputes, many of which attract national attention and media coverage.

This role is particularly well suited to a senior Real Estate Litigation lawyer who has reached a ceiling in their current firm and is seeking a genuine route to Partnership within a leading international platform, without the immediate requirement of a personal client following.

Requirements

• You will be a Real Estate Litigation Solicitor with significant experience, typically 8+ years PQE
• Strong technical expertise in commercial property disputes
• Ambition to build and lead a team within a growing regional office
• Strong communication and leadership skills
