The Real Estate Disputes team sits within a market-leading Real Estate Group led by seven partners across Leeds, Manchester and London. The London team, comprising three partners and a strong associate cohort, offers an excellent environment for junior lawyers to develop and progress.
The team advises institutional landlords, major retailers, investors, developers and infrastructure clients on high-value and complex property litigation, with particular expertise in Building Safety Act matters, the living sector and development disputes, alongside broader real estate disputes work.
The Role
Joining the firm's highly regarded Real Estate Disputes team, you will advise on a broad range of contentious property matters within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your work will cover landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture and possession actions, rent reviews and wider property management issues, alongside exposure to specialist areas such as building safety, rights of light, joint ventures and development-related disputes.
Working closely with partners and senior associates on complex, high-profile litigation, you will also manage your own matters with appropriate supervision, gaining early responsibility and confidence in handling client work.
The team is known for providing meaningful client exposure, strong mentoring and early career development, alongside opportunities to get involved in business development, strengthen client relationships and build your professional profile from an early stage.

Requirements:
- Be a Newly Qualified Solicitor or due to qualify by September 2026.
- Have completed at least one seat in Real Estate Litigation, Property Litigation or a comparable contentious property practice during your training contract.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in Real Estate Disputes and a desire to build a long-term career within the practice area.
- Possess strong technical, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Be commercially minded, proactive and detail-oriented in your approach.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment and be eager to contribute to business development initiatives.
