The Department

This well-respected Commercial Property Disputes team advises on complex domestic and international matters through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Successfully representing blue-chip companies, property owners, SMEs, and high-profile individuals to deliver effective, tailored solutions in respect of their most complex property issues.

Headed by a highly regarded partner, who is widely recognised across the Property Disputes sector for handling some of the most complex multi-jurisdictional matters, this opportunity offers a unique chance to work closely with a leading specialist. You will gain hands-on exposure to sophisticated cross-border work.

You will work closely with a broad team of specialist lawyers, giving you an excellent platform to further shape your career, with clear opportunities to lead on matters and advice junior solicitor within the practice.

The Role

This is a standout 6 month fix-term contract opportunity for a 8+PQE Real Estate Disputes Solicitor to join a forward-thinking and growing team with excellent leadership and support.

You will work closely with each lawyer in the team, gaining exposure to a wide range of high-quality Property Litigation matters. The caseload will include a broad range of complex disputes, including commercial lease renewals, lease disputes, property damage and possession claims, as well as dilapidations matters.

Alongside advising the firms clients on across all areas of real estate law, from Commercial & Residential Landlord and Tenant Disputes, Break Notices, Property Possession, Service Charge Disputes, Boundary and Right of Way Disputes, Professional Negligence Claims and Freehold and Leasehold Enfranchisement.

With the opportunity to develop relationships with the firm's long-standing and prestigious client base, something that can often be harder to achieve at larger firms.
With the firm's ambitious growth plans, there is an opportunity for the FTC to be extended for the right individual.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' PQE (England & Wales) Property Litigation Solicitor.
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm to demonstrate sector knowledge, contribute to know-how and support junior lawyers.
  • Team-oriented approach with the flexibility to thrive in the firm's hybrid working environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly.
