About the Team
The Banking & Finance group is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading finance practices, advising on many of the market's most complex and innovative financing transactions across a broad range of sectors.
Its specialist Housing & Transition Finance team has an outstanding reputation for advising lenders, borrowers and public sector organisations on funding arrangements that underpin affordable housing, regeneration, energy transition and wider infrastructure projects. The team acts on both bilateral and syndicated lending, capital markets-related financings and bespoke funding structures, regularly working on transactions of national significance.
Working closely with colleagues across Real Estate, Construction, Corporate, Projects, Planning and Public Law, the team delivers fully integrated advice on complex, multi-disciplinary matters while maintaining long-standing relationships with many of the UK's most prominent housing associations, financial institutions and public sector bodies.
The practice continues to experience significant growth, creating an excellent opportunity for an ambitious senior lawyer to play a key role in its ongoing success.
The Role
This opportunity is ideal for a Finance Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE who is looking to take the next step in their career within a highly regarded national practice.
Working alongside leading partners and senior lawyers, you will advise on a broad range of sophisticated financing transactions while taking increasing responsibility for client relationships, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Your work will include:
- Advising lenders and borrowers on housing finance transactions, including secured lending and refinancing matters.
- Acting on transition finance, regeneration and wider infrastructure-related funding arrangements.
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documentation and intercreditor arrangements.
- Advising on syndicated and bilateral lending transactions.
- Working closely with colleagues across Real Estate, Construction, Corporate and Public Law on multi-disciplinary matters.
- Managing key client relationships while delivering commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers while supporting business development initiatives across the team.

Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England &Wales with 5+ years' PQE.
- Strong experience gained within a recognised Banking & Finance practice.
- Experience advising on real estate finance, housing finance, project finance or broader secured lending transactions.
- Excellent drafting and technical skills with strong commercial awareness.
- Experience managing client relationships and leading matters with appropriate supervision.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for mentoring junior lawyers.
- An interest in business development and contributing to the continued growth of a leading national practice.
