A rare opportunity for a senior Employment Lawyer to join one of the country's most highly regarded Employment teams. Suitable for an ambitious Senior Associate ready to make the step up, or an existing Legal Director seeking a clearer and better-defined route to partnership.

The Role

As a key member of the Manchester team, you will work closely with the wider Legal 500 recognised Employment department and the head of department on high-quality, varied matters spanning both contentious and non-contentious work. There is genuine flexibility over the type of work you take on. The team handles:

  • TUPE
  • Employment tribunals
  • Corporate support
  • Discrimination and whistleblowing cases
  • HR advisory work

The firm has a strong and recent track record of promoting at Legal Director and Partner level internally, and are equally keen to hear from Senior Associates ready to make the step up as they are from existing Legal Directors seeking a defined pathway to partnership.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 8+ years PQE with strong Employment Law experience
  • Confident working independently and as part of a wider team
  • Capable of managing a varied caseload across a broad range of clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise efficiently
