About the Team

The Infrastructure, Projects and Energy team is one of the most established and well-resourced multidisciplinary groups in the market, with expertise spanning economic infrastructure, PFI/PPP, healthcare, infrastructure asset management, planning and consenting, project finance and transport.

The team is particularly well known for advising on complex, high-profile domestic and international social infrastructure projects across sectors including healthcare, education, housing, leisure and local government. Recent mandates include advising the Department of Health and Social Care, working on the first PPP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and supporting major hospital and student accommodation developments internationally.

The group is led by a highly regarded partner, consistently ranked in Chambers for nearly a decade, alongside a collaborative partnership team across the UK. They are supported by a strong team of experienced solicitors, offering real depth and breadth of sector expertise.

The Role

This is a standout opportunity for a 2-5 PQE solicitor to join a team that sits at the centre of the firm's 2030 strategic growth plans.

You will advise on a broad range of matters, including social infrastructure PFI/PPP projects, infrastructure asset management and concession-based work. The role offers exposure to both UK and international projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, social housing, transport and leisure.

Your work will primarily involve advising private sector participants such as; sponsors, funders, contractors and service providers - all across the full lifecycle of PPP/PFI projects. This includes supporting bidding consortia on new projects, advising equity investors and service providers on asset management, and working on technical aspects such as handback, expiry, defect remediation and variations to project agreements.

As an Associate, you will play a key role within a busy, high-performing and collaborative team. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex matters, while also being given the support and autonomy to develop your own client relationships and contribute to the team's continued growth.

The firm places a strong emphasis on continuous development and long-term progression through its structured Associate development programme. You will be encouraged to take on responsibility, lead on matters, contribute to business development initiatives and support the supervision and development of junior lawyers - all within a genuinely supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Be a qualified solicitor with 2 - 5 years' PQE, with strong experience in Infrastructure, Projects & Energy.
  • Experience handling Concession Agreements and managing the flow down of risk on long-term infrastructure projects.
  • Confident with contributing to high-valued matters.
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in business development and client relationship building.
  • Have a commercial flair and acumen and be excited by growth and new ideas.
