The Role

With strong transactional and litigation teams already in place, this firm is now looking to establish a dedicated Construction offering and they want the right person to lead it.

This could suit an ambitious Construction Lawyer who has hit a ceiling at a larger practice, or someone operating at a smaller firm who is ready for a bigger platform with greater financial reward.

The firm are open to candidates from a contentious, non-contentious or mixed background. What matters most is the technical depth and the appetite to build. Significant internal referral levels provide a genuine springboard, with real scope to recruit, grow and manage a team over the long term.

Relevant experience across the following is desirable:

• Transactional construction law
• Strong working knowledge of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and FIDIC
• Arbitration and adjudication claims
• Contentious construction cases
• Breach of contract

No following is required given the existing workflow, but an appetite for harnessing internal referrals and building relationships across the business is essential.

• 8+ years PQE in Construction Law
• Strong technical knowledge across the full breadth of construction work
• A strategic mindset with genuine ambition to lead and grow a team
