The Role

This is a strategic appointment within the Corporate team as the firm continues to strengthen its presence across Birmingham and Manchester.

Working alongside a highly regarded national Corporate practice, you will advise an established client base on a broad range of high value corporate transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, shareholder agreements, corporate restructurings and strategic growth projects.

The team acts for private equity funds, entrepreneurs, management teams, owner managed businesses and large corporates across a diverse range of sectors, regularly advising on complex national and cross border transactions.

There is significant existing workflow and an outstanding internal referral network, making this an excellent platform for an ambitious Corporate Partner looking to grow their practice. The firm is keen to invest in the right individual and offers genuine autonomy, strong business development support and a clear opportunity to shape the future direction of the team.

The Ideal Candidate

* Corporate Solicitor with 8+ years PQE, ideally operating at Partner, Legal Director or Principal Associate level
* Strong technical expertise across mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and shareholder agreements
* Commercially minded with excellent relationship building and client management skills
* Ambitious and entrepreneurial, with a desire to help grow a leading Corporate practice
* Some following is advantageous but by no means essential for the right individual
