The Team

The Corporate & Venture Capital team advises an impressive client base on transactional and advisory matters in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, with a strong focus on entrepreneurs, talent and investors across media, entertainment and technology.

Many lawyers joined from large-firm environments to gain broader exposure, earlier responsibility and a more entrepreneurial way of working.

Junior associates work closely with partners and senior lawyers, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of matters and real responsibility from an early stage. The team regularly acts opposite specialist media firms as well as City and US / international law firms, offering excellent training, confidence-building and long-term development.

The Role

This is an opportunity for a junior associate (up to 2 years PQE) to join a growing and thriving Corporate & Venture Capital team. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of matters, including:

  • M&A transactions, investments and joint ventures
  • Shareholder agreements and corporate restructurings
  • Venture capital and private equity matters
  • Corporate governance and company law advisory work

You'll be encouraged to take ownership of your workstreams, develop strong technical foundations and build trusted client relationships. There is also the scope to get involved in business development and, over time, develop your own client base aligned with the firm's specialist sectors.

Requirements

  • Corporate solicitor with 0.5 - 2 years' PQE (England & Wales), who has worked within established practices.
  • Exposure to corporate matters such as M&A, investments, venture capital, shareholders' agreements and governance.
  • Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial mindset and enthusiasm for client-facing work.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
