The Firm
A highly regarded Legal 500, Spears and Chambers ranked law firm based in central London with an esteemed reputation for its expertise in Real Estate, Private Client, Dispute Resolution, Construction and many others. Handling high-profile deals such as multimillion-pound UK let industrial platform and Central London property acquisitions for major commercial names.
They deal with the same quality of work as much larger City firms without all the disadvantages associated with being a small cog in a big machine. Lawyers of all levels can get involved with business development, and it is common for fee earners at this firm to gain such a level of exposure they gain experience beyond their years of PQE.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Real Estate Associate 2-4 years' PQE to join a well-established Commercial Real Estate team with an outstanding reputation in the London market.
The role offers a broad and high-quality commercial real estate practice, combining investment and asset management work for major UK property owners with a significant occupier-focused client base. You will advise on asset management, sales and acquisitions, real estate finance, complex agreements for lease and lettings across the retail, restaurant, industrial and office sectors.
A key part of the role will involve acting for blue-chip UK asset managers, advising on the full lifecycle of investment assets, from acquisitions and disposals through to financing, asset management and pre-letting transactions. You will also work with a range of Central London estates and City livery companies, handling both day-to-day asset management matters and more complex issues involving historic mixed-use estates, including headleases, property rights, rights of light and turnover leases.
Alongside this, you will support a diverse portfolio of prominent UK and international occupiers across sectors including film and television, retail, finance, media and professional services. The work includes headquarters relocations, lease negotiations, disposals, lease extensions, regears, refurbishment projects and wider portfolio management mandates, working closely with colleagues in construction, planning and tax.
You will join a highly regarded Commercial Real Estate team, working closely with experienced partners on complex transactions while benefiting from significant client exposure and responsibility from the outset. As you develop, you will take increasing ownership of transactions, help coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and play a key role in supporting client relationships, business development initiatives and the development of junior lawyers.
The Ideal Candidate:
- An England & Wales qualified solicitor with 3-6 years PQE in Commercial Property law (preferably with experience from a top-tier real estate or construction law firm).
- Strong technical skills in Commercial property matters and a solid understanding of the UK real estate sector.
- An excellent communicator with strong client relationship-building abilities.
- A proactive approach to business development and a desire to contribute to the growth of the department.
- Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision and take on a high degree of responsibility.
