The Team

You will join a highly ranked Technology Transactions and Sourcing team within the wider Corporate group, consistently recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers. Part of a global platform of 100+ lawyers, the team is known for its expertise across complex and evolving technology-driven work.

In London, you will work closely with a Legal 500-recognised Special Counsel who leads the practice. They have built a close-knit, high-performing team with a genuine focus on development, where your progression will be prioritised from the outset.

The team advises on complex, often business-critical technology and outsourcing arrangements for an international client base, including multinationals (including Fortune 100), high-growth tech and fintech businesses, and private equity-backed companies.

The work is cross-border and commercially significant, covering software licensing, data infrastructure, and large-scale IT services and outsourcing across sectors such as technology, healthcare, energy, financial services, and retail.

The Role

This is an opportunity for a solicitor with Commercial Contracts and a Technology focus to join a one-of-a-kind firm that has an impressive global footprint of clients. Providing you an opportunity to grow and develop within an award-winning, inclusive and collaborative department.

As part of the highly respected Technology Transactions and Sourcing team, you will advise on a broad range of complex commercial arrangements, including outsourcing, consulting, and reseller and distribution models (both direct and indirect). The work is varied and often cross-border, sitting at the heart of clients' strategic operational and technology needs.

You will build and develop client relationships with leading tech companies on complex, cross-border mandates, gaining exposure to prestigious transactions, protecting assets and driving businesses forward.

The role also offers the opportunity to advise on technology-focused matters, including end-to-end software services, cloud hosting, and software and end-user licensing, as well as collaboration and teaming agreements, website terms, and wider commercial intellectual property issues.

As an Associate, you will be a key member of a busy, high-performing, and collegiate team. You will work closely with partners on complex matters, play an active role in developing client relationships and collaborate across the firm's practice groups on multi-disciplinary transactions.

You will be encouraged to take on significant responsibility, take lead on some matters, contribute to business development and support the supervision and development of junior lawyers, all within a structured and supportive environment.

Requirements

• 3 - 6 years PQE (England & Wales) Solicitor with Commercial Contracts and Technology experience.
  • An excellent academic record is desirable.
• Excellent drafting and legal research skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including strong presentation skills).
• Ability to get on with clients, colleagues and support staff and work as a collaborative team player.
• Organised, responsible and able to work effectively in situations of high pressure.
