Trade Mark Attorney | 1+ PQE | Re-Locate to Dublin (or Remote - Republic of Ireland)

Ideal for Irish-qualified attorneys currently based in London/UK
If you are an Irish-qualified Trade Mark Attorney working in London and thinking about a longer-term move back to Ireland, this is a rare opportunity to do so without compromising on the quality of work, international exposure or career progression.

This role offers the chance to continue advising on sophisticated EU trade mark matters for globally recognised brands, while being based in Dublin or working remotely within the Republic of Ireland, within a top-tier IP practice known for its culture, stability and high-end work.

What You'll Be Doing

You will play a key role in supporting EU trade mark work for global brand-owner clients, working closely with an experienced team of trade mark attorneys and IP lawyers.

  • Advising on EU trade mark clearance, protection and long-term brand strategy
  • Managing EUIPO filings, prosecutions and portfolio maintenance
  • Responding to office actions and advising on strategy and risk
  • Handling oppositions and other contentious proceedings before the EUIPO
  • Advising on trade mark enforcement and infringement issues
  • Developing and coordinating international filing strategies, liaising with overseas counsel
  • Supporting global portfolio management for premium consumer, media and retail brands
  • Working collaboratively with contentious and non-contentious IP colleagues on complex matters
  • Building trusted relationships with in-house teams at international organisations

About You

You will be a technically strong and commercially minded trade mark attorney who enjoys working closely with clients on sophisticated brand matters.

  • Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience
  • Strong grounding in EU trade mark prosecution and EUIPO practice
  • Experience advising on clearance, filings and contentious registry proceedings
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of brand value and risk
  • Confident working independently while remaining closely connected to a wider team
  • Strong client-care skills and a collaborative, professional approach
  • Comfortable working remotely or as part of a smaller office-based team

What's on Offer

This role offers a compelling alternative to both traditional private practice and in-house trade mark roles.

  • High-quality EU trade mark work for internationally recognised brands
  • Exposure to complex, strategic brand portfolios rather than routine filing work
  • A close-knit, specialist trade mark team within a nationally respected IP practice
  • Flexibility to work from Dublin or remotely within the Republic of Ireland
  • A culture consistently recognised for being inclusive, supportive and people-focused
  • Access to leading practitioners, high-profile matters and long-term career development
  • Competitive salary and benefits, with flexible and part-time working options available

The firm

The firm combines top-tier work with a supportive culture, significant investment in people and systems, and a long-standing reputation for quality, collaboration and inclusion. It offers an environment where specialists can do intellectually stimulating work without the hierarchy or intensity often associated with London-centric practices.
