The Role & The Work
A well-regarded Scottish firm is seeking a Private Client Associate to join its growing Glasgow office, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a highly respected and collaborative Private Client team.

The firm has built a strong reputation across Scotland for delivering expert legal advice to both individuals and businesses, while maintaining a supportive and people-focused culture. With continued investment in its Private Client practice, the team is seeing increasing demand from a broad client base, including high-net-worth individuals and families, creating an opportunity for an experienced Associate to play a key role in the next phase of growth.

Joining this established team, you will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, advising clients on matters such as wills, powers of attorney, estate planning, succession planning and executry administration. You will also gain exposure to trust administration, inheritance tax planning and guardianship matters, working closely with individuals and families to deliver thoughtful, long-term legal advice.

The work is both technically engaging and relationship-driven, requiring lawyers who can combine strong legal expertise with clear, empathetic communication. Many matters involve complex estates, family wealth planning and multi-generational succession issues, offering excellent exposure to sophisticated private client work.

As a Senior Solicitor, you will also take on greater responsibility for managing files, delegating work to junior colleagues and supporting their development, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard. Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives, helping to strengthen client relationships and raise the profile of the Private Client practice across the region.

Your Experience

• Solicitor with 3+ years' experience in Private Client work
• Strong experience advising on wills, powers of attorney, executries and succession planning
• Experience managing a varied caseload independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Experience supervising or delegating work to junior colleagues would be beneficial
• STEP qualification, or a willingness to pursue it, would be advantageous
