The role would suit a Legal Director, Partner or ambitious senior lawyer with strong business development capability, an existing network or following, and the drive to build something long term.

This is not a maintenance hire. It is a strategic growth role for a commercially minded development lawyer who enjoys building relationships, winning work and becoming a visible name in the market.

The Opportunity

• Play a leading role in growing and developing the Residential Development offering in Sevenoaks and the South East
• Build relationships with developers, landowners, agents and professional referrers across the South East
• Lead on acquisitions, disposals, option agreements, promotion agreements and development matters
• Work closely with planning, construction and real estate colleagues on large-scale schemes
• Mentor and support junior lawyers within an expanding team
• Help shape strategy, growth and future leadership within the department

This is a role for someone who enjoys being front-footed commercially, not simply servicing existing work.

About You

• Residential Development Solicitor with significant experience gained at a recognised regional, national or City firm
• Strong technical background across development and strategic land matters
• Commercially minded and confident building long-term client relationships
• A genuine self-starter who enjoys networking, business development and generating work
• Existing client following, referral network or market presence highly advantageous
• Looking for a platform with autonomy, visibility and progression
