Leading South of England Firm | Commercial Property Associate | 1+ Year PQE

An opportunity for a junior commercial property lawyer to join a busy, well-regarded real estate team in Bournemouth, working with developers, investors, and lenders on a broad mix of transactions with clear career development support.

The Team
The Real Estate Commercial team is highly regarded and acts for a broad range of clients including developers, investors, landlords, tenants, and financial institutions. The team handles the full spectrum of commercial property work, from acquisitions and disposals, and landlord and tenant matters.

The Bournemouth office is a key hub for the practice, offering a friendly, collaborative environment where junior lawyers are given meaningful responsibility and direct client contact early in their careers.

The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters with appropriate supervision. This will include acting on the purchase and sale of commercial properties, drafting and negotiating commercial leases, advising borrowers and lenders on secured lending transactions, and supporting on transactions involving pension trusts. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to build strong client relationships from the outset.

You will also be expected to contribute to business development and the continued growth of the team. This is an ideal role for a junior lawyer looking to deepen their commercial property expertise across a wide range of transaction types within a supportive, high-quality practice.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with 1+ year PQE in commercial property
  • Solid experience handling commercial property transactions; exposure to development or investment work is highly desirable
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with a commercial, solutions-led mindset
  • A client-focused approach, able to build and maintain strong relationships through responsive, high-quality service
  • Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage a busy caseload and meet competing deadlines
  • A motivated team player, confident taking on responsibility and contributing to team success
