The Team
The Real Estate Division is one of the largest in the firm, comprising nearly 200 lawyers nationwide. The Manchester office alone is home to multiple partners and other fee earners, making it a substantial, high-performing hub.

The work is varied and high-profile, spanning office, retail, leisure, development, and regeneration schemes. Recent highlights include advising on the acquisition and redevelopment of a major power station site, supporting the growth of science and technology campuses, and assisting with the transition to Net Zero infrastructure.

The Role
As a Managing Associate, you will manage your own caseload of complex commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant work, property management, and sales and acquisitions. You will work closely with partners on high-value, strategic transactions, while also having the freedom to deepen a specialism that interests you.

A significant part of the role will be supervising and mentoring junior fee earners, helping to shape their development and contributing to the strength of the team. Business development is expected and supported, giving you the platform to build strong client relationships and play a key part in the team's continued growth.

The Ideal Candidate

  • UK qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in commercial property and real estate
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, and ambitious, with a consultative and thorough approach
  • Confident stakeholder manager, able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines while delivering a high standard of client service
  • Inquisitive and commercially minded, with a desire to understand clients' business drivers
  • A natural mentor who enjoys developing junior talent and contributing to a cohesive, high-performing team
  • Interest in legal technology and innovation is valued
