The Team
The Real Estate Division is one of the largest in the firm, comprising nearly 200 lawyers nationwide. The Manchester office alone is home to several partners and around multiple other fee earners, making it a substantial, high-performing hub.

The work is varied and high-profile, spanning office, retail, leisure, development, and regeneration schemes. Recent mandates include major power station redevelopments, science and technology campus projects, and supporting the transition to Net Zero infrastructure.

The Role
As a Legal Director, you will operate at a strategic level, leading on complex, high-value transactions and acting as a trusted advisor to some of the firm's most significant clients. You will take ownership of key client relationships, drive business development initiatives, and contribute directly to the strategic direction of the Manchester real estate practice.

You will manage and mentor senior associates and managing associates, playing a pivotal role in their development and ensuring the continued strength and cohesion of the team. You will also work closely with partners on resourcing, matter strategy, and the adoption of legal technology to deliver exceptional client outcomes. There is a clear pathway to partnership for those who wish to pursue it.

The Ideal Candidate

• UK qualified solicitor with 7+ years' PQE in commercial property and real estate, gained at a highly regarded firm

• A proven track record of leading significant transactions and managing substantial client relationships

• Commercially astute, with the ability to provide strategic, business-oriented advice at board level

• A natural leader, experienced in supervising and developing more junior lawyers

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the confidence to drive business development activity

• Enthusiastic, resilient, and forward-thinking, with a genuine interest in leveraging technology and innovation
