Property Litigation Solicitor | 4+ PQE | Manchester
A highly regarded property litigation practice in Manchester is looking for a 4+ PQE solicitor with the technical sharpness and commercial instincts to handle complex, high-value disputes for institutional and corporate clients.
The caseload is strategic, often multi-jurisdictional or with significant quantum at stake, the kind of work that typically sits in London or the largest regional offices. The firm has built a strong alternative: City-quality property disputes, Manchester cost base, and a platform that supports long-term progression without the constraints of a rigid hierarchy.
The Work
Clients include institutional investors, national developers, landed estates, property funds, retail and leisure operators, and high-net-worth individuals. Disputes frequently involve six or seven-figure sums and require strategic thinking, not just process-driven litigation.
At 4+ PQE, the expectation is clear: run your own caseload of complex disputes from inception to trial or settlement, manage disclosure and witness evidence, draft pleadings and applications, attend mediations and hearings, and advise clients on risk, quantum and commercial settlement options. You will also have the opportunity to supervise more junior lawyers and contribute towards business development.
The Platform
The firm is well-established in Manchester with a premium brand presence. The property litigation team is consistently ranked, known for technical excellence and a pragmatic, commercially focused approach. Referrals come from internal corporate, real estate and banking teams, as well as a loyal base of institutional repeat clients.
Progression is transparent and achievable. The partners want someone who can step towards senior associate and ultimately partnership, with clear milestones and genuine backing to get there.
Why This Makes Sense
At 4+ PQE, you have the technical foundation. The question is whether you stay in a role where disputes are process-driven and low-value, or step into a premium practice that gives you strategic, high-stakes work and accelerates your market profile.
This role offers the latter. The work is complex, the brand opens doors, and Manchester offers City-quality disputes without London hours or cost of living.
