Procurement Solicitor (1-4 PQE)
Location: Edinburgh
Firm: International Firm | Top Tier L500 Ranked Team
Salary: Highly Competitive + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

The Role & The Work
This is a unique opportunity to join a Tier 1 ranked Procurement team, widely recognised as a market leader, advising on some of the most significant and high-profile procurement matters across the UK and beyond.

You will play a key role in advising public bodies, utilities and private sector partners on complex, high-value procurement processes. From shaping procurement strategy and advising on direct awards and contract modifications, to supporting the delivery of large-scale tender processes, your work will directly influence how major public and infrastructure projects come to life.

The practice spans a wide range of sectors including transport, energy and utilities, defence, healthcare and large-scale regeneration, offering exposure to work that is both commercially significant and societally impactful.

You will be involved in drafting and reviewing procurement documentation, supporting clients through live procurement exercises and advising bidders on strategic positioning. You'll also collaborate closely with a specialist disputes team, gaining insight into procurement challenges and high-profile litigation, and contributing to strategic risk assessment and resolution.

Operating within a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary environment, you will work alongside leading lawyers across areas such as construction, real estate, IT and outsourcing, giving you a holistic view of how large-scale projects are structured and delivered.

This is a team that combines technical excellence with a genuinely progressive and collaborative culture, where junior lawyers are trusted early, supported closely and given the platform to build specialist expertise and a strong market profile.

Your Experience

  • A Solicitor with strong Procurement experience (1-5 PQE)
  • Experience in, or a strong interest in, public procurement or utilities procurement law
  • Background in a commercial, regulatory or projects-related discipline
  • Strong drafting, research and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex matters
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Collaborative approach with ambition to specialise and progress

Why This Role?

  • Join a highly ranked Procurement team with a longstanding market-leading reputation
  • Work on high-value, complex and nationally significant procurement projects
  • Exposure to sectors shaping the future, including infrastructure, energy and public services
  • Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary, international platform
  • Early responsibility and meaningful client interaction
  • Strong mentorship and structured career development
  • Supportive, inclusive and forward-thinking team culture
  • Flexible working and excellent work/life balance
  • Competitive salary, bonus and comprehensive benefits package
