A highly regarded Sussex firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor on an initial 10-month maternity cover contract, with an ASAP start. The team is in the middle of an exciting period of growth and development, making this a rare opportunity to step into a genuinely high-quality private client practice with immediate responsibility, strong support and long-term potential beyond the initial term.

The Opportunity

You'll join a well-established Private Client team handling a broad mix of sophisticated work including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trust creation and administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Inheritance tax planning
• Court of Protection matters

This role would suit an experienced Associate or Senior Associate who enjoys autonomy, client contact and collaborative working. You'll work closely with respected senior lawyers while also helping mentor and support more junior members of the team during an important period of transition and growth.

The team itself is evolving positively, with new hires joining, internal progression happening organically and significant investment being made into systems, processes and long-term development.

About You

• Private Client Solicitor with 5+ years PQE
• Strong experience across core private client matters
• Comfortable managing complex matters independently
• Collaborative, personable and commercially aware
• Interested in joining a supportive, ambitious team environment
