The team
Private client is a core pillar of the firm, not a side offering. You will work alongside colleagues who handle wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and inheritance tax planning, with a particular focus on elderly client services. The team is friendly, collaborative, and well-regarded locally. You will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while being supported by a firm that invests in its people through structured training and a commitment to wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including:
  • Wills and estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration (taxable and non-taxable)
  • Lasting powers of attorney
  • Trust creation and administration
  • Inheritance tax advice and succession planning
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, many of whom are local and whose families you will get to know over time

• Contributing to business development and networking activity, building your own profile within the Windsor and wider Berkshire community

• Mentoring and supporting more junior team members where appropriate

About you
You are a private client solicitor or chartered legal executive with at least five years' experience. You can run a full caseload independently, and you are comfortable with the full range of private client work. You communicate clearly and empathetically, you understand the sensitivity of the matters you handle, and you take pride in building long-term client relationships.
