Private Client Solicitor | NQ-2 PQE | Ely, Cambridgeshire

If you are at the start of your private client career and want to learn properly, be supported, and build confidence with real clients, this is the kind of role that makes a difference long term.

This highly respected regional firm has deep roots across Cambridgeshire and Norfolk and a strong reputation for looking after both its clients and its people.

Despite its size, the culture is genuinely down to earth. Teams know each other well, partners are accessible, and junior lawyers are given time, training and trust rather than being thrown in at the deep end.

The Ely office is now looking for a Private Client Solicitor at NQ to 2 years' PQE to join a well-established and supportive department.

The Role

You will work closely with experienced private client lawyers on a broad mix of matters, gradually building your own caseload as your confidence grows. The work includes:

  • Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Inheritance tax and succession planning support
  • Trusts and Court of Protection matters
  • Advising elderly and vulnerable clients with care and sensitivity

You will have full administrative support and access to modern systems, allowing you to focus on learning the law and delivering good client service.

Why This Firm

This is a firm that invests in its junior lawyers. Training is structured, supervision is hands-on, and progression is realistic. Many solicitors have trained and qualified here, building long-term careers in an environment that values balance, collaboration and quality over long hours.

About You

  • Newly qualified to 2 years' PQE in private client
  • A genuine interest in wills, probate and private wealth work
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, client-focused approach
  • Keen to learn, develop and be part of a supportive team

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary with regular reviews
  • Clear development and mentoring from day one
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Friendly, close-knit team culture
  • A firm that prioritises wellbeing alongside career growth

This is an excellent opportunity to build strong foundations in private client law within a firm that will support you properly as you grow.
