This is a high-profile appointment for an entrepreneurial Family Partner to join a Legal 500 firm at a transformative stage. While already competing with Top 100 firms across its core disciplines, the firm is embarking on a significant expansion phase with a clear objective to expand all practice areas.
This is a pivotal leadership mandate for a senior expert to take full strategic ownership of the Family department. You will leverage a high-quality international platform to scale a practice area that is fundamental to the firm's 2026 expansion and long-term success.

The Role
As the Family Partner, you will be the driving force behind a department known for handling complex, HNW and UHNW matters. The role is designed for a practitioner who wants to combine elite fee-earning with high-level practice management.
Your mandate will involve architecting the long-term vision for the Family practice, supported by the firm's robust 2026 investment plan, while leading a diverse range of high-stakes HNW matters including financial remedy cases, complex private children law, and international pre-nuptial agreements. You will work closely with the firm's prestigious Private Client and Real Estate teams to provide a holistic service to shared HNW individuals and families, and utilise the firm's reputation for talent investment to mentor associates and strategically hire new talent to grow your department.
The Candidate
· An established Family Partner looking for a more dynamic and growth-oriented platform to house their practice
· A Senior Associate or Director with a compelling business case and the readiness to step into a formal leadership role

· Deep technical excellence in all aspects of private family law, with a particular focus on serving high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients
· A proactive growth mindset toward business development and a desire to leverage the firm's international reach, including its specialised desks for overseas markets

· The commercial acumen necessary to identify cross-selling opportunities across the firm's diverse practice areas
