Family Paralegal | Milton Keynes

An excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded, specialist family law firm as it establishes a new office in Milton Keynes. You will work closely with the incoming Head of Department, supporting high-quality private family work and playing an important role in the early growth of a new regional base.

What You'll Be Doing

You will provide hands-on support to a senior family lawyer leading the Milton Keynes office, assisting on a broad range of private family matters while helping to build efficient, well-structured ways of working.

• Supporting financial remedy, children and divorce matters from instruction through to resolution

• Drafting court documents, statements, applications, bundles and routine correspondence

• Acting as a point of contact for clients, assisting with updates, information gathering and ongoing communication

• Carrying out legal research and preparing clear case notes and summaries

• Assisting with disclosure exercises, file management and preparation for hearings

• Liaising with courts, counsel and third parties to ensure matters progress smoothly

• Contributing to the development of office processes and day-to-day organisation as the practice grows

About You

You will be a capable, organised and proactive paralegal with a real interest in family law and an appetite to develop within a specialist environment.

• Previous experience in family law, or relevant exposure through a legal support role

• Confident drafting documents and communicating professionally with clients

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Comfortable working closely with a senior lawyer and supporting a varied caseload

• High levels of attention to detail, discretion and professionalism

• A positive, team-focused approach and willingness to take initiative

• Keen to develop longer-term within a specialist family practice
