The Opportunity
The firm is seeking an exceptional employment lawyer to join its thriving Glasgow office as Legal Director.

Key Responsibilities
The Legal Director will be:
- Advising clients on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including tribunal litigation, senior exits, TUPE, restructures and complex disciplinary and grievance issues
- Managing and developing relationships with existing clients whilst identifying opportunities to grow their own practice
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, helping them develop their technical skills and commercial awareness
- Contributing to business development initiatives, thought leadership and sector-focused activities
- Working collaboratively across the national network on multi-jurisdictional matters
The Ideal Candidate
The firm is looking for someone who combines technical excellence with commercial acumen and genuine people skills.
Specifically, candidates should have:
- 8+ years' PQE in employment law with experience gained at a reputable firm
- A strong track record of managing their own caseload of complex employment matters
- Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining client relationships
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues in accessible language
- A proactive approach to business development and a genuine interest in clients' businesses
- Strong supervisory and mentoring capabilities
- Ambition to progress their career, with partnership potential for the right candidate
