Corporate Solicitor

Corporate Solicitor | NQ-3 PQE | Brighton

This isn't another volume shop churning out basic M&A templates. You'll handle share and asset purchases, corporate restructuring, due diligence, joint ventures, substantive transactional work for a national client base with a Legal 500-ranked team that's genuinely regarded.

The department is busy, well-resourced, and growing. You'll manage your own caseload while working closely with the Head of Department and senior lawyers who'll actually develop you, not just delegate to you.

The Role

Expect variety and quality:

• Draft and negotiate M&A agreements (share and asset purchases)
• Support clients preparing businesses for sale
• Conduct and review legal due diligence
• Advise on corporate structuring: shareholders' agreements, articles, JVs
• Prepare transaction reports and ancillary documentation
• Coordinate and project-manage deals from instruction to completion

This is hands-on transactional work with proper exposure to complex corporate matters, not just admin support labelled as "development."

About You

• Corporate Solicitor NQ to 3 PQE with proven experience in corporate law, or due to qualify in the next few months
• Exposure to employment or commercial law advantageous
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
• Confident client communication (written, phone, in person)
• Proactive, positive, willing to learn
• Works well independently and as part of a close-knit team
