Corporate Regulatory Solicitor | 1+ PQE | Manchester

A leading full-service firm with a strong North West presence is looking for a 1+ PQE solicitor to join its Corporate Regulation team, which sits inside one of the largest litigation departments in the region. The work is fast-paced, often high-profile, and varied. You will advise regulatory bodies, government departments, and household-name clients on matters that regularly feature in media commentary and lobbying activity.

The Work

• Data protection compliance: ICO guidance, DSAR responses, cross-border data issues, breach response plans, risk assessments and audits

• Large-scale government consultations and linked regulatory obligations, including lobbying activity

• Consumer rights: product safety, recalls, advertising standards (ASA, CAP codes)

• Corporate responsibility and reputation management

You will work alongside colleagues across the firm, litigation, crime, reputation management, so your advice is never in a silo.

What You Bring

• 1+ PQE with experience across corporate regulatory issues

• Specific expertise in data protection, compliance, advisory, ICO engagement, is highly desirable but not required

• An interest in reputation management and business development

• Strong drafting and analytical skills, plus the commercial judgment to advise on risk and regulatory strategy

• Good time recording and billing discipline, you are ambitious and want to contribute to team growth
