Commercial Litigation Solicitor | 1+ PQE | Brighton, East Sussex

A leading Chambers and Legal 500-ranked firm on the Sussex coast is looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor ready to handle a genuinely varied caseload with early responsibility and proper supervision.

This isn't pushing paper for senior fee earners. You'll run your own matters, attend court, advise clients directly, and work across property litigation, commercial contract disputes, and contentious probate, building the technical foundation that actually makes you a litigator.

The Work

You'll handle a broad and stimulating litigation caseload with real variety:

• Property litigation: landlord and tenant disputes, possession proceedings, dilapidations, lease disputes
• Commercial contract disputes: breach of contract, professional negligence, business disputes
• Contentious probate: will disputes, inheritance claims, executor/trustee disputes
• Court attendance, advocacy, client advisory work
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications

This is hands-on litigation from day one. You'll run files independently but with senior support when you need it, the balance junior litigators rarely get.

About You

• 1+ PQE in Commercial Litigation (or strong litigation experience as an NQ)
• Exposure to a broad range of contentious matters
• Confident managing your own caseload with guidance
• Strong communicator, written, verbal, client-facing
• Ambitious, keen to develop technical skills and build a practice
• Organised, detail-focused, comfortable working under pressure
