Commercial Litigation Partner | Brighton

A national law firm with serious growth ambitions for its southern offices is looking for a Commercial Litigation Partner to establish and lead its disputes practice in Brighton.

This isn't a token regional hire. Brighton is a strategic priority. The firm has already brought in other senior hires recently, and commercial disputes is the next area they're backing properly.

The Opportunity

You'll have genuine autonomy to build and lead a commercial litigation practice with the full support of a national platform:

  • Establish the commercial disputes offering in Brighton (and throughout Sussex)
  • Work with national backing, regional focus, and real investment
  • Leverage the firm's existing corporate, real estate, and broader commercial client base
  • Build a team as the practice grows

This is a leadership role with scope, not a salaried partner slot reporting upwards.

About You

The firm is flexible on seniority but clear on ambition:

  • Strong Senior Associate, Legal Director, or Partner level
  • Solid commercial litigation background across a broad range of disputes
  • Established client following and business development track record
  • Commercially astute, client-focused, and ready to lead rather than just contribute
  • Ambitious and entrepreneurial, this is a build, not a maintain

What's On Offer

  • Highly competitive partner-level remuneration reflecting experience and business contribution
  • National firm resources, brand, and support with regional autonomy
  • Real investment in Brighton as a key growth market
  • Flexibility to shape the practice and build a team around you

Brighton is booming. The firm is investing. If you want to lead rather than follow, and build something with proper backing, this is rare.
