Commercial Litigation Paralegal | Entry Level | Manchester
A well-regarded commercial litigation team in Manchester is on the search for a paralegal, and this is a entry route into the firm.
The opportunity matters because the firm only offers training contracts to people who are already working there as paralegals. If you want to qualify as a solicitor and are looking for a route in that values hands-on experience and internal progression, this is how it works here.
The Role
You will support a L500 ranked commercial litigation team handling shareholder disputes, contract claims, fraud, professional negligence and IP protection corporates and ambitious SMEs across leisure, manufacturing, recruitment, retail and technology.
Your day-to-day will involve assisting on live disputes, managing disclosure, drafting correspondence and court documents, carrying out legal research, liaising with clients and counsel, and supporting fee earners through the full litigation lifecycle from pre-action through to trial and enforcement.
The work is complex and high-quality. The team is led by a Legal 500 Hall of Fame member, so you will be learning from experienced litigators on substantial, often high-stakes matters.
The Firm
The firm was established in 2014 through a management buyout and focuses on client-centric commercial law across corporate, commercial, real estate, employment, regulatory and dispute resolution.
The culture is described as collaborative, supportive and entrepreneurial, with approachable lawyers who share knowledge and prioritize long-term client relationships.
What You Need
Strong academics are essential. You will need excellent A-level results and a strong undergraduate degree. You should either be a recent graduate, have completed the LPC, or be a career Paralegal.
The firm values people who are organised, commercially minded, intellectually curious and interested in litigation. Prior paralegal experience is useful but not required, what matters is that you can demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Why This Makes Sense
You will work in a well-regarded commercial litigation team on complex disputes for national and international clients.
You will have a clear route to a training contract if you perform well, and you will be part of a collaborative, supportive culture that values internal progression and invests in developing its people.
