Clinical Negligence Senior Associate

Senior Clinical Negligence Lawyer | 6+ PQE | Bristol | Hybrid

I'm currently working with a highly regarded Bristol law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer into its established and growing team.

This is an opportunity to join a department recognised by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, acting on behalf of claimants in complex, high-value clinical negligence matters. The team has built an excellent reputation in the market and continues to attract high-quality instructions across a broad range of work, including catastrophic injury and maximum severity claims.

Alongside managing your own caseload, you'll work closely with recognised specialists in the field, supporting the development of junior lawyers and playing a visible role in the continued growth of the team.

The Role

You can expect to be involved in:

* Managing a varied caseload of complex pre-action and litigated clinical negligence claims.
* Advising clients on funding arrangements, including CFAs, Legal Aid and legal expenses insurance.
* Drafting witness statements, pleadings and Court documents.
* Instructing medical experts and Counsel.
* Attending hearings, inquests and case management conferences where appropriate.
* Supporting junior lawyers on complex matters.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives.

About You

You'll be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least six years' PQE and significant experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters.

You'll also have:

* Strong technical ability and excellent client care skills.
* Experience managing complex, high-value claims from inception to conclusion.
* A collaborative approach and an interest in supporting junior members of the team.
* Accreditation with APIL, AvMA or the Law Society would be advantageous, although this isn't essential.
