Office Perks

5 minutes

Are you looking for a legal job and debating whether you want to work from home or an office? Or maybe a mic of both?

Many companies, including law firms, are hoping office perks will persuade you to commute. Even if it’s just for a couple of days a week.

There’s even been a boom in office facility upgrades, particularly in London, with office buildings getting new gyms, installing bike parking with changing rooms, better canteens and even roof gardens.

Other perks include free breakfasts, paid-for taxi rides home, paid-for sabbatical leave, wellbeing allowances and even concierge services to help you manage life admin.

There are also a few novelty perks around. Last month, Gallagher McCartney Barry Solicitors in Donegal revealed a new neon slide in their office. The London office of the US law firm Skadden has a giant glass climbing wall and TLT recently moved their Manchester office into a building with Europe’s “biggest green wall” filled with 350,000 plants, bug hotels and bird boxes.

So which office perk do you like best?

Are there any here that don’t impress?
