This well-known Legal 500 ranked law firm are looking for an Assistant Billing Manager with 5 years' experience to support the Billing Manager in maintaining their excellent standards.

The role

This firm is looking for an Assistant Billing Manager to join their Legal 500 recognised, exceptionally friendly practice in London, near Whitechapel.

You will deputise for the Billing Manager and provide managerial level support, training and assistance to staff and fee earners, oversee the smooth running of the firms most challenging civil claims, maintain and update the firms purpose-built civil billing tracker, provide accurate reports for management and fee earners, process and resubmit rejected bills within appropriate KPI's and appeal deadlines, assist the billing department on new and existing systems across the firm and more.

Requirements

You must have 5 years' experience with legal aid billsExperience with High Cost billing and Inter Partes billsExperience training staff on billing processes and managing of stakeholdersAbility to work on own initiativeKnowledge of SAR's and VAT

The Role

The firm are looking for a Management Accountant to join their flourishing office in Maidstone, Kent.

You will prepare monthly/ad hoc management accounting and performance reporting requirements, ensuring SAR compliance, and be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Cashiering/Accounts payable aspects of the Finance team, be responsible for all accounting work re accruals, prepayments, capital expenditure, be responsible for ensuring invoices/expense claims received by the firm are authorised and coded correctly and more.

Requirements

You will have experience at a similar level in a finance team in a legal departmentYou will have proven experience of producing management accounts and have an accounting qualification, eg: ACCA, CIMA, etc.You will have some previous supervisory and management experienceYou will be a team playerYou will have excellent communication skills
