Are you a Technology & Digital Regulation solicitor looking to develop your career within a specialist, sector-focused team? This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Technology & Digital Regulation practice, advising innovative businesses across technology, media, advertising and the creative industries.
The role offers a broad mix of data protection, digital regulation and commercial technology work, with exposure to some of the most rapidly developing areas of regulation, including AI, platform regulation, online safety and the use of data.

As a full-service firm, it combines specialist sector expertise with a broad commercial offering, allowing lawyers to work closely with other teams across the business.

The Team
The Technology & Digital Regulation team sits within the wider cross-practice technology group and currently comprises five partners, four associates and a paralegal.
The team advises clients on the increasingly complex legal and regulatory issues surrounding technology, data and digital products. Its work spans software licensing, SaaS, development and hosting agreements, data protection and cyber risk, ePrivacy, digital regulation, AI and emerging technologies.
There is particularly strong exposure to the GDPR, Digital Services Act, Online Safety Act and EU AI Act, as well as regulatory issues affecting consumer contracts, advertising and adtech.
The team works predominantly from London, with a partner based in Berlin who has played a key role in developing the firm's German office. The practice advises clients across media, technology, advertising and the creative industries, ranging from established businesses to ambitious start-ups.
The Role
This is an opportunity for a 2-4 PQE Associate to join a growing and specialised Technology & Digital Regulation team. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers across a broad range of technology, data and digital regulatory matters, including:
- Data protection, GDPR and privacy projects
- Digital regulation, including the DSA, Online Safety Act and EU AI Act
- Software licensing, SaaS and technology agreements
- AI, adtech, ePrivacy and advertising regulation
- Commercial contracts, including development, distribution and support agreements
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of matters, negotiate directly with counterparties and work closely with clients on new products, features and technology strategies. There will also be opportunities to contribute to marketing and business development as you develop within the team.

Requirements
- Solicitor with 2-4 years' PQE, qualified in England & Wales, New York or California for London-based candidates.
- Experience across data protection/privacy, digital regulation and/or commercial technology matters.
- Exposure to software licensing, SaaS, technology contracts or related commercial agreements.
- Experience of GDPR and an interest in developing expertise across UK and EU digital regulation.
- Experience or interest in AI, adtech, ePrivacy and advertising regulation.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and communication skills.
- Organised, methodical and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
