The work will be primarily non-contentious, covering a broad range of financial and corporate restructurings, refinancing, distressed situations, reorganisations and insolvency-related transactions, including matters with an international element.

You will work closely with the Partners while taking greater ownership of matters, supporting the development of colleagues and helping to strengthen the team's client offering.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on complex financial and corporate restructurings, refinancing transactions, distressed situations and insolvency-related matters.
  • Advising businesses, lenders, investors and other stakeholders on restructuring options and strategies.
  • Taking a leading role in managing client relationships and overseeing matters from inception through to completion.
  • Supervising and supporting Associates and Senior Associates, providing technical guidance, reviewing work and helping develop their expertise.

  • Developing existing client relationships, building new market connections and pursuing business development opportunities to grow your own portfolio.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across other practice areas on cross-disciplinary and international matters.

The role offers a balance of high-quality technical work, increased responsibility for the development of others and the opportunity to build your own practice. You will be supported by experienced Partners while being encouraged to develop your client relationships, commercial profile and business development capabilities.

For someone looking to progress towards Partnership in the longer term, this is an opportunity to build the foundations gradually, with exposure to the commercial side of the practice and the chance to demonstrate your contribution to its continued growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ PQE in Restructuring & Insolvency.
  • Strong experience in non-contentious R&I, financial and corporate restructuring, refinancing or insolvency-related transactions.
  • Experience advising on distressed situations, complex restructuring mandates and the commercial considerations affecting clients.
