The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a 2-4 PQE Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join one of London's leading Construction teams.
Working closely with two highly regarded Partners, you'll advise on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters supporting major commercial real estate transactions and developments. The team acts for developers, investors, landlords, occupiers and other key stakeholders across a diverse range of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects.
You'll have the opportunity to take greater ownership of your matters, building on your existing experience while developing specialist expertise alongside leading practitioners. The role would suit someone who is keen to progress within a strong Construction practice and gain further exposure to complex development work.
Your work will include:
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction documents, including building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, letters of intent and development agreements.
- Advising clients throughout the lifecycle of development projects, from procurement through to completion.
- Managing your own matters with appropriate support from Partners and senior lawyers.
- Working closely with the firm's highly regarded Real Estate team on a variety of high-value development projects.
- Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
- A qualified solicitor with 2-4 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
- Solid experience drafting and negotiating non-contentious construction documentation.
- Experience advising on construction aspects of real estate transactions and/or development projects.
- Comfortable taking ownership of matters and managing your workload with appropriate supervision.
- A genuine interest in continuing to develop a specialist career in construction law.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients.
- Commercially minded, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to deal directly with clients where appropriate.
