The Role:

The Insolvency Team acts for insolvency practitioners as well as companies and individuals: directors, partners, sole traders, creditors, debtors and their spouses, mainly in the East of England region but also further afield.

The team are predominantly known for their contentious recovery work, acting for insolvency practitioners and defending directors. However, to enhance their offering, they seek an ambitious Solicitor who will manage and develop their non-contentious work, alongside a caseload of contentious matters.

This role comes with excellent career progression prospects, allowing you to build, lead and develop a team whilst offering a clear and structured pathway to Partnership.

The ideal candidate:

• Insolvency Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE
• You will have experience in advising and assisting relevant stakeholders with all aspects of insolvency work, including non-contentious insolvency instructions. In particular, you will have dealt with the restructuring and sale of businesses as well as be competent in drafting the necessary transactional paperwork.
• Ideally you will have JIEB qualification, although not essential
• You will be confident in delegating work to junior fee earners
• You will be keen to be involved with business development and growth of the department
• You will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver outstanding legal services
