The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Senior Associate to join a Legal 500 ranked Employment team in Manchester, taking on a broad and varied caseload across both contentious and non-contentious matters whilst working alongside highly regarded partners in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The role carries real responsibility. You will manage your own caseload with a good degree of autonomy whilst supporting the partners on more complex and strategic matters. The work spans the full spectrum of Employment Law, with a particular strength across both the public and private sector

Contentious work includes:

• Employment tribunal advocacy and case preparation including claims, responses, interlocutory applications, witness statements and m ore
• TUPE transfers and associated disputes
• Complex workplace disputes and High Court litigation

Non-contentious work includes:

• Drafting and advising on contracts, policies and procedures
• Strategic HR advisory work across a broad and diverse client base
• Corporate support on employment aspects of transactions and restructures

Requirements

• Employment Solicitor with 5+ years PQE
• Strong technical knowledge across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Confident managing a varied caseload with increasing autonomy
• First-class client service skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
