You will have exposure to a broad range of employment work, including:

  • Advising on employment documentation, policies, disciplinary and grievance matters, performance issues, redundancies and family-friendly issues.
  • Running Employment Tribunal litigation for both Claimants and Respondents, including drafting pleadings, attending Preliminary Hearings and dealing with case management.
  • Advising on complex exits and supporting senior executives in negotiating severance terms.
  • Advising on restrictive covenants, confidentiality and employment-related disputes.
  • Supporting corporate transactions through employment due diligence, identifying red-flag issues, drafting warranties and indemnities and advising on TUPE.
  • Advising on employment status issues, including worker status and contracts for services.

  • Advising on employment and partnership disputes, with exposure to more complex litigation where appropriate.
  • Supporting Partners with client development, networking and wider business development initiatives.

You will be encouraged to take a hands-on approach to managing your own files and caseload, with the opportunity to draft more complex documents with increasing autonomy and develop your own client relationships.

The role would suit an ambitious Employment Solicitor who enjoys variety and is looking for a team where they can develop both their technical expertise and commercial understanding. There is also scope to become involved in business development, article writing, networking and other initiatives designed to build the team's profile and client base.
