The Team

The non-contentious construction team is one of the strongest in the market, consistently ranked at the top of both Chambers and the Legal 500. The team acts on complex, high-value projects across renewable energy, conventional power, major infrastructure and real estate development for a client base that includes FTSE 100 companies, international developers, utilities and public sector bodies.

The team is known for its technical depth, its practical approach and its ability to manage procurement strategy, contract drafting and risk allocation on some of the most significant mandates in the market.

The Role

Based in Birmingham, you will join a close-knit team of specialists and take on a meaningful and senior role within the practice from day one. At this level you will be running your own workstreams, drafting and negotiating complex construction documentation, advising on procurement strategy and risk allocation and managing client relationships across a varied and high-quality project base spanning renewable energy, major infrastructure and real estate development.

You will work directly alongside highly regarded partners and senior lawyers, taking on genuine responsibility whilst being supported to develop your technical expertise and market profile further. This is a firm that takes the long-term development of its lawyers seriously, and at Associate to Managing Associate level the pathway forward is clear, structured and well-supported.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor with 3 to 6 years PQE in non-contentious construction law
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a solid understanding of construction contracts and procurement
• Experience advising clients across energy, infrastructure or real estate sectors
• Commercially minded with strong client relationship skills and the confidence to manage your own workstreams
• Ambitious and looking to develop your profile within a market-leading international practice
