Company Solicitor - Director | Nationwide Housing Developer | Remote

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading housebuilder, who are seeking an experienced Company Solicitor with a background in Property law.

You will play a pivotal role in their nationwide legal team, reporting into the board and working with a team of 5.

The Role

You will oversee committee operations, as well as reviewing acquisitions and associated legal agreements before Project Committee meetings, notifying the chair of any legal concerns that arise. You will provide legal and developmental support to the Committee Chair throughout the entirety of site acquisitions, including commercial terms, legal mechanisms, and adherence to external legal procedures.

You will also provide advice on property and planning matters, ensuring that the company implements effective land buying systems and processes. This entails managing and selecting panel law firms, with a specific focus on overseeing external conveyancing processes.

You will be required to represent the company on legal matters as needed, showcasing a deep understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards. You will be entrusted with assuming responsibility for post-acquisition matters that demand special attention, such as disputes and litigation. Additionally, some involvement in property transactional work is anticipated.

Requirements

  • 8+ years Property / Residential Development experience
  • In-House experience at a Housebuilder is preferred
  • UK Qualified Solicitor
