The Team

The Banking & Finance team operates as a close-knit specialist unit within a large and well-resourced full-service firm.

The Role

You will take on a varied and commercially interesting caseload spanning the full range of banking and finance work, advising clients on the legal aspects of acquisition finance, property finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing transactions.

Day to day you will draft and negotiate facility agreements across bilateral and syndicated structures, lead and support transactions end to end, attend client meetings and project manage deals through to completion.

Business development is an active part of what the team does. You will be encouraged to build relationships with key banking contacts across Manchester and to support the team's wider marketing activity across the North West and nationally.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE in Banking & Finance
• Strong technical grounding across facility agreements, acquisition finance and property finance
• Confident managing transactions with increasing autonomy and communicating directly with clients
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development and building market relationships
• Comfortable supervising and supporting junior colleagues within a collaborative team environment
