Private Client Solicitor | 6+ PQE | Sevenoaks, Kent
Take ownership of quality work and help shape the future of an established Private Client practice.
An established, multi-office law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor to its Sevenoaks office.
This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team where you'll have the autonomy to manage a varied and interesting caseload, develop client relationships and play an active role in growing the local practice.
You'll advise a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, families, trustees and executors, as well as elderly and vulnerable clients who value clear, considered and sensitive advice.
The role
You'll manage your own matters with limited supervision, covering a broad range of Private Client work, including:
- Complex wills, trusts and estate planning.
- Probate and estate administration.
- Inheritance Tax and succession planning.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Court of Protection matters.
Alongside your fee-earning responsibilities, you'll help develop the Sevenoaks practice by building relationships with local accountants, financial advisers and other professional contacts.
You'll also provide guidance to junior colleagues and work closely with the wider Private Client team across the firm's other offices, giving you access to additional technical support and experience.
What's on offer?
- Autonomy: Take ownership of complex matters and manage your caseload independently.
- Influence: Help shape the development and future direction of the Sevenoaks office.
- Quality work: Advise a varied client base, including HNW individuals and entrepreneurs.
- Team support: Work within an established local team with wider departmental support.
- Business development: Benefit from dedicated marketing and BD support to develop your profile and referral network.
- Progression: Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
About you
You'll be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 6+ years' PQE and strong technical experience across wills, trusts, probate and estate administration.
You'll be confident handling complex matters independently, commercially minded and comfortable building lasting client and professional relationships.
A proactive approach to business development is important, as is an interest in helping grow the local practice. STEP qualification or membership would be advantageous but isn't essential.
