An established and highly regarded Surrey law firm is looking for a Senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its team in Dorking. You'll handle high-value disputes for a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and businesses with national and international interests.

With a varied caseload and scope to shape the future growth of the practice, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious senior lawyer looking for their next step.

The Role

You'll manage complex commercial disputes from initial instruction through to resolution, providing strategic, commercially focused advice.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing high-value commercial litigation, particularly shareholder and partnership disputes, insolvency and related contentious matters.
• Handling all stages of litigation, including negotiations, mediation, court proceedings and appeals.
• Advising on cross-border disputes and multi-jurisdictional enforcement of judgments.
• Building strong client relationships and delivering commercially focused solutions.
• Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to business development and the growth of the practice.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in commercial litigation, with expertise in shareholder and partnership disputes and insolvency.
• An understanding of comparative law and cross-border enforcement.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex matters independently.
• Confidence in developing client relationships, networking and generating new business.
• An existing client following would be advantageous but is not essential. The firm is keen to meet a senior lawyer with the technical expertise and ambition to develop their practice.
