Looking for a role where you can handle a varied caseload of property disputes, work closely with established property teams and develop your expertise within a supportive firm?

An established and highly regarded Surrey law firm is looking for a Senior Property Litigation Solicitor to join its team in Dorking. You'll advise a diverse client base, including commercial and residential landlords, tenants, landowners and high-net-worth individuals, on complex disputes across the local and wider national market.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of quality work, build strong client relationships and play an important role in supporting the firm's wider property practice.

The Role

You'll manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters, with responsibilities including:

• Advising on commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and dilapidations claims.
• Handling residential possession proceedings and associated housing law matters.
• Managing boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance claims and restrictive covenant enforcement.
• Advising on disputes between developers and those affected by development proposals.
• Dealing with mainstream contractual disputes where required.
• Working closely with the commercial and residential property teams to provide practical, joined-up legal advice.
• Keeping up to date with developments in property and contract law.

What We're Looking For

• Property Litigation Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE
• Strong experience in both commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes.
• Experience handling boundary disputes and disputes between adjoining landowners.
• Residential long lease experience would be highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
• The ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with colleagues.
• A client-focused, commercially minded approach with a commitment to delivering practical solutions.
