An opportunity for an experienced property litigator to join a growing, nationally recognised team, handling a broad mix of contentious property work for an impressive client base spanning the public and private sectors.

The Role
You will join the national Property Litigation team, based in Leeds with hybrid working, as part of a group that operates as one cohesive unit across multiple offices. The team is highly regarded in both Chambers and Legal 500, with a reputation for technical strength, responsiveness and strategic advice.

The caseload is varied and interesting, advising public and private sector clients on the full range of contentious property matters. You will handle litigation in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals, the County Court and up to the Court of Appeal, acting for central government bodies, registered providers of social housing, local authorities, NHS bodies, higher education institutions, developers and management companies. The team has been involved in a number of leading cases that have shaped the law.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of your own caseload, supervise and delegate to junior colleagues, and play an active role in business development to support the partners' ambitious growth plans.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with 6+ years' PQE and demonstrable property litigation experience
  • Strong technical credentials
  • Confident managing a varied caseload and working directly with clients
  • A collaborative team player with experience of or a strong interest in supervising junior colleagues
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work efficiently to deadlines
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in business development and building client relationships
