Leading International Firm | Leasehold Enfranchisement Disputes Senior Associate | 5+ Years PQE

A rare opportunity to specialise in high-calibre leasehold enfranchisement work within a class-leading real estate disputes practice, advising major landlords, investors, developers and leaseholders on complex, value-driven matters.

The Firm
This is an international firm of more than 170 partners and 1,000 people, with a genuinely distinctive identity. Real estate is at the core of its business, and the firm has built a standout reputation across the full spectrum of property work, from development and investment through to disputes. Chambers and Legal 500 consistently recognise its real estate litigation practice as a market leader, and the firm is known for its pragmatic, commercial approach and deep sector knowledge.

Its strategic direction is shaped by a desire to grow responsibly and sustainably, with ESG principles at its core. Teams are collaborative and supportive, with a commitment to giving lawyers early responsibility and long-term development.

The Role
You will join a highly regarded leasehold enfranchisement team that sits within the firm's wider property disputes practice, working alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the field. The team acts for a broad client base, including large estate landlords, institutional investors, developers, housing providers and leaseholders, offering the full range of advice in this technically demanding area.

Day to day, you will manage statutory lease extension claims, collective enfranchisement claims, right to manage claims, and tenants' rights of first refusal. You will also advise on enfranchisement reform and its implications for clients across both the public and private sectors.

Beyond your core caseload, you will take an active role in building and maintaining client relationships, participating in marketing initiatives, and contributing to firm-wide and departmental training. Supporting and developing junior colleagues will also form a meaningful part of the role.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE in leasehold enfranchisement/property litigation, gained at a reputable firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of both freehold and leasehold enfranchisement, with a commercial and client-focused approach
  • Confident managing a varied caseload, negotiating settlements, and advising on complex statutory claims
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to advise in plain English
  • Drive, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude to business development
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and client-facing skills

What's on Offer

  • A seat in a class-leading real estate disputes practice with a genuine focus on leasehold enfranchisement
  • High-quality, varied work for a broad client base spanning landlords, investors, developers and leaseholders
  • Real investment in your development, with structured career frameworks and internal progression
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture with ESG and responsible business embedded in the firm's strategy
  • International reach, competitive salary, flexible benefits and hybrid working
