Private Client Partner | Redhill, Surrey | Legal 500 Firm
This is a genuine Partnership opportunity for an experienced Private Client lawyer who wants to build, lead and grow a practice.
A well-established Legal 500 regional firm is looking for an experienced Private Client Partner to join its Redhill office and play a key role in the continued development of the practice.
This isn't a Partnership title without the substance behind it. You'll have the autonomy to develop your own client base, lead high-quality private client work, mentor lawyers around you and have a genuine influence on the direction and growth of the team.
If you've built a strong reputation in Private Client, have established client relationships and are commercially minded, this is an opportunity to join a firm that will give you the platform and support to build something of your own.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on Partner role with genuine scope to shape the practice:
- Develop your own client base and build on your existing relationships and network
- Lead on complex Private Client matters including wills, probate, estate administration and trusts for HNW individuals and families
- Grow the team by mentoring and developing junior lawyers
- Drive business development and raise the profile of the Private Client practice across the Surrey market
- Influence strategy and contribute to the wider direction of the Redhill office
- Work collaboratively with other Partners across the firm to identify opportunities and develop clients
- Build a long-term practice with the backing, infrastructure and resources of an established regional firm
You'll have the freedom to develop your own approach while benefiting from an established platform, existing client relationships and a supportive wider team.
The Firm
A highly regarded Legal 500 regional firm with a strong reputation across Surrey and the wider South East.
The firm has built its reputation through long-standing client relationships, quality work and a collaborative culture. Private Client is an important part of the wider practice, with a strong flow of work and further opportunity to develop the offering.
This is a firm that wants its Partners to have a voice, contribute commercially and play an active role in shaping its future.
About You
- 8+ PQE in Private Client law
- Currently operating at Partner, Legal Director or senior leadership level
- Strong technical experience across wills, probate, trusts and estate administration
- Experience dealing with HNW clients and complex matters
- An established client following and/or strong business development track record
- Confident building relationships and developing new opportunities
- Able to lead, mentor and develop other lawyers
- Commercially minded with an interest in growing a practice
- A collaborative and approachable style, with the confidence to operate at Partner level
What's On Offer
- Partner-level package reflecting experience, seniority and business contribution
- Opportunity to build and grow your own practice
- Performance-related rewards linked to individual and team contribution
- Genuine autonomy over your clients, workload and business development
- Hybrid and flexible working
- Influence over practice strategy and direction
- Support from an established regional platform
- Redhill location with strong access across Surrey and the wider South East
Why This Opportunity?
The attraction here is the combination of Partnership, autonomy and platform.
You won't be stepping into a role where you're simply expected to inherit a caseload and maintain the status quo. The firm wants a Partner who can bring ideas, relationships and ambition, while providing the infrastructure and support to turn those into a growing practice.
For an established Private Client lawyer who wants genuine influence, commercial opportunity and the ability to build something long term, this could be a particularly interesting move.
